The Prada factory store is a 40 minute train ride to the small town of Montevarchi, followed by a 10 minute taxi ride. When we shopped here a few years ago, we arrived 30 minutes before opening, barely beating the packed Japanese tour buses. To avoid taking any unnecessary chances , we hustled out of bed early in the morning once again. We made it so early this time that we snagged tickets #1 and #2. Sweeeeet!
The doors opened at 10am and we didn't leave the building until 1pm. Do you remember the shopping spree we went on at the custom tailors in Thailand? The Prada shopping spree was worse; we ended up buying an extra duffel to carry all our goodies!
I know Web was grumpy when he got up early in the morning to catch the train and I'm surprised he didn't disapprove or shake his head at our purchases. Usually guys don't get too excited when it comes to this kind of stuff. However, as we were riding back to Firenze and I was contentedly looking over everything I bought, I noticed Web secretly eyeing his purchases with a smile!
First in line! Peeping the goodies inside...
