Global Warming**

Obviously, some weird stuff has been happening lately when it comes to the weather all around the world. Global warming must be hitting Greece pretty hard because we've only been here 3 days and we've seen it all.

After a turbulent 25 minute flight, we landed in Santorini. The sky was cloudy, but we were excited since we were meeting up with Jaime's older brother, Jon. For those of you that have met Jon, you know that when you roll with Jon it is going to be on and poppin'.

We met at the Hotel Anteliz, situated at the very top of the cliffs in the town of Fira. After a quick lunch, we noticed the skies getting progressively darker and gloomier. Ten minutes into our walk it started hailing. No kidding--the 3rd week of May, we're in Santorini, Greece, and we're caught in the middle of a hailstorm. Intense hurricane-like winds, rain and hail. Even the locals had no idea what the hail was going on.

Luckily, 3 kind ladies let us seek refuge in their jewelry store and we dripped all over the inside of their store for about 40 minutes hoping the storm would pass. Finally, thinking the coast was clear, we started sprinting back to our hotel on top of the mountain, and that's when the skies opened up and the rain really started blasting us. The water was flowing down the stone streets so intensely that we felt like salmon swimming upstream! The wind was blowing so strongly that it turned our umbrellas inside out!

Web pouting inside the jewelry store... where's the sunny skies???

The dark clouds rolling in over the caldera (volcano)...

Walking back to our hotel... the skies haven't opened up completely just yet...

Once it started pouring, even the umbrellas couldn't save us...

But... are those clear skies we see???

Luckily, it cleared up later in the evening, giving us a chance to hit the clubs. We partied to Beastie Boys, House of Pain (Jump Around!), 80's, and some Euro-trance stuff until the early hours of the morning. We finally went back to the hotel and fell asleep, dreaming of sunny skies and warm weather.
