JB, Jaime and I went to a spa last night called Daisy. It seemed a bit shady as we entered into a dark alley (happy endings available here?), but we turned the corner and there were a number of smartly dressed Vietnamese ladies awaiting us with hot tea and towels. After another day of rain and clouds, we decided to treat ourselves. Jaime ordered a 45 minute facial and 30 minute foot reflexology massage for $12, I ordered a 60 minute aromatherapy massage for $15 and JB ordered a 30 minute back + 30 minute foot reflexology massage for $8.
At the end of a very nice and relaxing treatment, we went up front to pay. I was running out of Vietnamese cash, so I asked the lady if I could pay in US dollars. She looked a bit confused, so I very clearly articulated to her, the rest of the staff, and the other people in the waiting room:
"I need to pay in US dollars... I have very little Dong."
