The Last Frontier: Saigon, Vietnam

We realized today, in Saigon, that it has been over two weeks since we last saw a Starbucks or McDonald's! Amazing! Paris, New Zealand, Thailand, S. Africa, Brazil... everywhere we've been in recent years it seems as though you can't go one block without seeing one of these fine establishments. It's only since we landed in Vietnam that we realized that this is one market that has yet to succumb to the allure of bitter coffee and fine US cuisine.

Oops... we neglected to mention that there is a KFC on practically every block here. Forget what we just said, because the Vietnamese definitely love their Colonel Sanders!

You would do well as a reporter for a travel magazine. I really enjoy your updates of these foreign places. And, of course those pictures. Enjoy!!
