Good Cop/Bad Cop: Negotiating in Thailand

Our negotiating skills are improving day by day. We have resorted to using the tried and true good cop/bad cop routine. Jaime is the "nice" negotiator who smiles a lot and nods, expressing interest in the "beautiful" merchandise. After getting an initial price, Jaime gets the price down to a certain point at which point she runs it by Web, who frowns a lot, looks grumpy (he's good at that) and shakes his head. We've been averaging about 35-60% off of the initial price, so we can't be doing too badly... we think!
